I'm Avery Russell, senior at Lakeview High School. I am 17, I have a twin brother and a older sister. I plan on going to Calvin university and study in film and media, as well as continuing my swimming career. 

I have been a student journalist since my first year in yearbook which was in my junior year in high school. Journalism has become a big part of my life today. I find myself using the skills i learned in yearbook in my everyday life. whether its in english class or just talking better to people.

I am now photography editor for our yearbook, have gotten journalism student of the year in 2024, been journalism student of the month, apart of Quill and Scroll, and our 2023-2024 book got a gold ranking.
